CDS Membership is open to students, post-docs and principal investigators from around the world, specializing or interested in the change and continuity in the intellectual process that support mental life.

Membership Term

CDS memberships are based on a one-year calendar term from:

January 1 – December 31

Member Categories

Regular Members – Applies to all individuals who are active investigators in the field of cognitive development or are interested in change and continuity in the intellectual processes that support mental life.

Student Members – Applies to students enrolled in any full-time, degree granting programs at an institution of higher learning.

Student or Regular Members from a Developing Country – All individuals from eligible countries in the Lower, Lower-Middle and Upper-Middle income range are eligible to receive a discounted membership. **All individuals currently residing in eligible countries:  Please note you must be residing in the applicable countries in order to be eligible for the discount.

Membership Dues

The membership year is from January 1 – December 31. Please note all fees are in US Dollars.
Regular – $75
Student – $55
Student or Regular Member from a Developing Country – $40 (All individuals currently residing in eligible countries: Please note you must be residing in the applicable countries in order to be eligible for the discount.)

Purchase Your Membership

The Cognitive Development Society Membership is now managed by the Conference Manager software, a membership management application that is also used by related organizations such as Flux: The International Society for Integrative Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience (FLUX) and the International Congress on Infant Studies (ICIS).  Because of this shared system, you may already have an existing account.  Please review the instructions below carefully so as not to create duplicate user accounts.

Join/Renew – Option 1

You will already have a Conference Manager account, if, for example:

-You have attended or submitted an abstract to FLUX
-You have a membership for ICIS and/or FLUX

Please click the button below and login with your  Conference Manager username and password.  If you have forgotten your username or password, please click the Forgot your password link to have it sent to you.

Join/Renew – Option 2

If you do not have a pre-existing account, please click the button below and create an account.  Please note that when setting up your Conference Manager account, your email address will automatically be set as your username. Please save your username and password as they will be required for submitting an abstract and registering for the conference.

Once you have created your account, or logged in, you can continue through the membership form.

Following completion of the membership form (Remember to click Finish), you will have the option to pay online with a VISA or Mastercard via our secure payment servers.  If you would prefer to pay by fax or mail, please click the Pay by Mail button at the end of the form.
